भाईरस भनेको के हो ?? ( What is Virus)

कम्प्युटर भाईरस कुनै जिवित किटाणु नभै एक गलत प्रोग्राम हो जसले कम्प्युटरको सँचालन प्रणालिमा हानी पुर्याउने कार्य गर्छ । अर्को शब्दमा भन्नु पर्दा यो गलत निर्देसिकाहरुको समुह हो जसले कम्प्युटरको सँचालन प्रकृयालाई बिगारी दिन्छ । कम्प्युटर भाईरस बिशेष गरी कम्प्युटर प्रोग्रामिङका दक्ष्य ब्यक्तिहरुले गलत मनसाय पूर्वक तयार गरेका हुन्छन । कम्प्युटर भाईरसलाई पनि एउटा सफ्टवयर वा प्रोग्रामकै रुपमा लिन सकिन्छ तर यस किसिमका प्रोग्रामहरुले कम्प्युटरलाई कुनै राम्रो कार्य नगरि हानि पुर्याउने काम मात्र गर्छ । जस्तै कम्प्युटरमा भएका डाटाहरुलाई नस्ट गरी दिनु वा अनावश्यक डाटाहरु थपिदिनु । उदाहरणको लागि कुनै एस्तो प्रोग्राम बनाइदियो जसलाई सँचालन गर्ना साथ कम्प्युटरको हार्ड डिस्कमा भएका सम्पूर्ण डाटाहरुलाई मेटाइ दिनु भनि निर्देशहरु (Instructions) राखिएको भए त्यस प्रोग्राम चल्ना साथ हार्ड डिस्कका सम्पूर्ण डाटाहरु मेटाइदिने हुन्छ ।

भाईरसका प्रकारहरु (Types of Virus)
भाईरस बिभिन्न प्रकारका हुन्छन र हाल सम्म देखा परेका भाईरस्को सँख्या भन्नु निकै गार्हो हुन्छ किनकी प्रतिदिन यसप्रकारका भाईरसहरुको बिकास भई रहेको पाईन्छ । तापनि यस्ता भाईरसलाई यसले गर्ने असरको आधारमा समुहगत रुपमा बिभाजन गरेको पाईन्छ ।
क) Time Bomb : निस्चित समयमा कार्य सुरु गर्ने प्रकारको ।
ख) Trojon Horse : लुकेर कुनै प्रोग्राममा रहने प्रकृतिको
ग) Worms : कम्प्युटरको कुनै पनि डाटाहरुलाई नबिगार्ने तर मेमोरिमा गई कम्प्युटरलाई ढिला बनाई दिने प्रकृतिको ।
घ) Boot Sector Infector : कम्प्युटर स्टोरेज डिवाइस जस्तै : Floppy Disk, Hard Drive आदिको Boot Sector ( कम्प्युटर खोलिनको लागि चाहिने पहिले डाटा भएको ठाउँ ) मा गई बस्ने र बिगार्ने प्रकृतिको ।
ङ) File Infector Virus : कुनै पनि फाइल लाई बिगार्ने प्रकृतिको ।
च) Dos System Infector : Dos अपरेटिङ सिस्टम फाइलहरुलाई बिगार्ने प्रकृतिको ।
छ) Massage Carrying Virus : कुन्रै अश्लील कुर वा हास्य सुचना दिने तर कुनै हानी नदिने प्रकृतिको ।

भाईरस प्रतिरोधक (Anti-virus)
सबै भाईरसहरु हानि पुर्याउने प्रकृतिका नभएपनी कुनै भाईरस निकै हानी पुर्याउने खालका हुन्छन । र यस्तो प्रकृतिको भाईरसले आक्रमण गरेको खण्डमा हाम्रो कम्प्युटरको डाटा र सँचालन प्रकृयामा ठुलो क्ष्यति पुर्याउन सक्छ र यस्ता कुनै पनि भाईरसबाट कम्प्युटरलाई बचाउन Anti-virus प्रोग्रामको बिकास गरिएको छ । जसरी कुनै मनिसलाई रोगको बिरुद्द भ्याक्सिनको बिकास गरिन्छ त्यसरिनै कुनै बेला देखा परेका र सँभाबित कम्प्युटर भाईरसको प्रक्रिति अनुरुप Anti-virus सफ्टवयर बनाइएको हुन्छ । जस्तै : Virus buster, Norton Anti-virus, Central Point Anti-virus, MC Caffe's Anti-virus, Clean Virus, Dr Solomon's Anti-virus Tool Kit, PC chillin आदी ।

भाईरसबाट बच्ने उपाय (Virus Sefety)
१ आफ्नो कम्प्युटरमा अनिबार्य कुनै एक भरपर्दो Anti-virus प्रोग्राम राख्ने ।
२ सधैं Anti-virus प्रोग्रामलाई Active राख् ने ।
३ अरु कसैको फ्लपी डिस्क वा CD प्रयोग गर्नु भन्दा पहिले Virus स्क्यान गरेर मात्र प्रयोग गर्ने ।
४ कम्प्युटर कुनै तरिका बाट भाईरस द्वारा प्रभाबित भए पूर्ण रुपमा भाईरस नहटाई कम्प्युटर सँचालन नगर्ने ।
५ चोरी भएको सफ्टवयरको प्रयोग नगर्ने ।
६ भाईरस बाट पूर्ण रुपमा कहिले पनि बच्न नसकिने हुँदा आफ्नो डाटाहरुलाई कुनै अर्को सुरक्षित राख्ने जसलाई (Backuping of Data ) पनि भनिन्छ ।
७ जो कसैलाई आफ्नो कम्प्युटर प्रयोग गर्न नदिने ।
८ ईन्टरनेट चलाऊदा जुन पायो त्यो साईट अथवा भरनपर्दो साईट नखोल्ने ।
नयाँ नयाँ कम्प्युटर भाईरसको उत्पति दिन प्रतिदिन भई राखेको हुन्छ जसले गर्दा पुरानो Anti Virus प्रोग्राम ले सधैं कम्प्युटरलाई भाईरस बाट सुरक्षा गर्न नसक्ने हुन्छ र साथै Antivirus Software निर्माताहरुले पनि नयाँ नयाँ बिकास भएका Virus लाई आफ्नो Antivirus Software मा समेट्दै गई रहेका हुन्छन जसलाई Virus Definition Update भनिन्छ । आफ्नो कम्प्युटरलाई बढी भन्दा बढी सुरक्षा दिन यस्ता नयाँ Virus Definition लाई आफ्नो Antivirus Software मा नियमित थप्दै जानु पर्छ । यस्तो Update ईन्टरनेटको सम्भन्धित साईट वा Update CD द्वारा गर्न सकिन्छ । कम्तिमा हरेक १५ दिनमा कुनै पनि Antivirus प्रोग्राम लाई Update गर्दै रहनु पर्छ नत्र Antivirus प्रोग्राम राख् नुको खासै उद्देस्य पुरा नहुन सक्छ ।

Windows XP Install "Step-by-Step Instructions"

These steps are for a clean install of XP. If you intend to upgrade, please read the Guide we provide for that purpose. Okay... let's get started.

1. First, you're going to need to change your CMOS settings of the BIOS for the boot order to boot from CD-ROM. Once you do this you'll then be able to boot your computer from the Installation CD. If your system will not boot from the CD, very rare... use the boot disk we provide in the download area to activate your CD Rom drive.

2. After changing the boot order in the CMOS settings of the BIOS, save the changes, and then reboot your computer. Make sure your Installation CD is in your CD-ROM. If it is you'll be prompted to press your space bar to directly boot from CD-ROM emulation. Press your space bar as soon as you see this message.

3. Wait a few minutes while the installation begins to copy the preliminary setup files to your computer. After this completes you'll be ready to start directing the install process.

4. You will be asked if you want to perform a new installation, repair an existing installation, or quit. In this case, you will be performing a new install. Press the correct key to perform a new installation.

5. Read the terms of the end user license agreement, and press F8 to agree.

6. The next phase of the installation is real similar to that of Windows 2000. So, if you're familiar with the Windows 2000 installation process this should be very easy. Basically, you need to decide which partition of your hard drive you will install Windows XP on. You will have the opportunity to create and/or delete partitions or just allocate the available disk space to one partition. However, try to keep your partitions within reasonable size.

7. We recommend using multiple partitions of 4-8GB, preferably on more than one hard drive. This will help you back up your data and optimize system performance later on down the road. Once you have figured out which partition XP will be installed on it's time to format it.

8. Choose to format the partition to either FAT32 or NTFS (recommended for single OS install). You'll also see two additional choices to perform a quick format of each option. Stick with doing a full format of either option instead. After you've determined which option is right for you, press the correct key to format the partition.

9. This would be a good time to take a break and come back in a few minutes. The setup program will automatically start copying files after the partition is formatted.

10. From this point on, you're going to see each and every file name that's being copied over to your hard drive appear in the lower left corner. As the file names go from A to Z, the installation completion percentage will increase.

11. Choose the region and language.

12. Type in your name and organization.

13. Enter your product license key.

14. Name the computer, and enter an Admin password. Don't forget to write down your Administrator password. After the installation is complete it would be extremely wise to create a password restore disk in the event you forget your Administrator password someday.

15. Enter the correct date and time.

16. Choose your network settings. Leave on automatic if you use a dhcp server to assign IP addresses. If you have static IP address for broadband access, enter the settings that your ISP has provided you.

17. Choose workgroup or domain name.

18.Register this copy of Windows XP if you've installed all the current hardware on your machine. Otherwise, wait until you've finished installing any additional hardware so you don't 18. have to activate your copy of XP again.

19. Add users that will sign on to this computer.

20. Log in, and update drivers.

A Few Useful Windows XP Tips

1. Reach Run quickly
Here's a quicker way to reach the Run dialog box, if you don't want to go through the Start menu. Just hit the Windows key + R.
2. Looking for a better screen font display?
Enable ClearType, Microsoft's trademark font display technology, for a drastic improvement in screen font rendering. Right-click anywhere on your desktop. Now select Properties. Under the Appearance tab, click Effects. Check the box for Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts, and in the drop-down menu, select ClearType. Press OK, and apply the change.
3. Change your mouse pointer scheme
Bored of the same old arrow? To change your mouse pointer scheme, in the Control Panel, select Mouse and go to the Pointers tab. Scroll through the available schemes, pick one that you like and click Apply.
4. Check that your Windows Firewall is turned on
To make sure your Windows Firewall hasn't been accidentally disabled, go to your Control Panel and click Windows Firewall. Make sure the radio button for On (recommended) is selected. Add exceptions to your Firewall by going to the Exceptions tab and adding the programs that you think should have access to the Internet to the list of exceptions.
5. Instantly activate your screensaver
In XP, you can put a short cut of your favourite screensaver on your desktop to instantly start your screen saver. Here's how. Go to Start on your desktop and click on Search. In the help box, click on All files and folders. and then type in *.scr. Select your screen saver file and right click. Then select Send To, and then Desktop.
6. Put your Monitor to sleep
Right click on the desktop and click on Properties. In the dialog box that appears, click on the Screen Saver tab. Click on Power and in the dialog box that appears click on the Turn off Monitor list. Select a time to automatically after which the monitor will be turned off. Click OK twice and you're set.
7. Using your Windows Key
Your Windows key can be used to for many short cuts. If you want to open your Windows Explorer quickly just press your Windows key and E. If you want to open the Run dialog box, just press the Windows key and R. If you want to open your search dialog box, press your Windows key and F.
8. Instantly lock your PC
If you have password protected your Windows, here is a quick way to lock it. Press the Windows key and L together.
9. Change the look of folder icons
If you don't like the look of the folder icons on your desktop, you can change them. Right click on the folder, select Properties. Click on the Customize tab, and under the Folder icons area, click on the Change Icons button. Select the icon of your choice and select OK.
10. Minimize a Window to your taskbar
If you're tired of using the mouse over and over again to minimize a window, here's a handy tip. To minimize a window using just the keyboard, press Alt, Spacebar and N together.
11. Display album art in your music folder thumbnails
If your music files are in WMA format, XP automatically picks up the album art and displays it, both in the folder thumbnail as well as in the Windows Media Player display. If your files are in MP3 format, you can download the album art from the Internet and then customize each folder to display it. But this takes a lot of time. A faster way around is to save each image as 'folder.jpg' and put it in the correct folder. Once you do this, XP will pick up that image and use it as the thumbnail for the folder, and also use the image to display in Windows Media Player while playing songs from the album.
12. How to stop Windows Media Player from accessing your information
You may be uncomfortable with the idea of Windows Media Player collecting your information and sending it to various websites. You can stop this. Go to the Tools menu of Windows Media Player. Select Options and then go to the Player tab. Look for the check box that says "Allow Internet sites to uniquely identify your player?" and make sure it is not selected.
13. Opening folders with a single click
If you'd rather not have to double-click everything to open it, here's the way out. Go to My Computer, and select Options in the Tools menu. Choose Folder options. In the dialog box that opens, select the check box that says 'Single-click to open an item (point to select)', and click OK.
14 Making web pages available offline
You may occasionally need to refer to a website, and you may not be able to connect to the Internet at the time. An easy way out of the situation is to go to the Favourites tab in Internet Explorer, and click Add to Favourites. In the dialog box that is displayed, select the Make available offline check box, and press OK.

कुनै सफ्टवयरको प्रयोग बिना एक भन्दा धेरै yahoo messeger चलाऊनुस् (Multiple login in yahoo Without Using any Software)

सबभन्दा पहिला तपाईंले Start बटनमा क्लिक गर्नुस् त्यसपछी Run मा क्लिक गरेर त्यहाँ regedit टाइप गर्नुस् र ok गर्नुस् । यति गरे पछि तपाईंको Registry Editor पेज खुल्छ । अब तपाईंले त्यहाँ भएको HKEY_CURRENT_USER मा डबल क्लिक गर्नुस् त्यसछि Software मा डबल क्लिक , yahoo मा डबल क्लिक , Pager मा डबल क्लिक र लास्टमा Test मा क्लिक गर्नुस् । अब दाँया पट्टीको खाली ठाँउमा right mouse क्लिक गर्नुस् , New मा जानुस् अनी DWORD VALUE मा क्लिक गर्नुस् अनी नयाँ नाम राख्नुस् plural भनेर । अब तपाईंले आफुले बनाउनु भएको plural फाइल लाई डबल क्लिक गर्नुस् अनी Decimal मा tick लगाएर Value Data 0 लाई 1 बनाइदिनुस् र ok गर्नुस् । अब Registry Editor पेज लाई बन्द गरी दिनुस् । यति गरी सके पछि तपाईंको काम सकियो अब तपाईंले एकै चोटि २ वटा yahoo messenger खोलेर फरक फरक नाममा login गर्न सक्नु हुनेछ । "यदि तपाईंले Value Data 0 लाई 2 राखी दिनु भयो भने एकै चोटि ३ वटा सम्म messenger खोल्न सक्नु हुन्छ ।" एक चोटि ट्राइ गरेर हेर्ने कि ???

तपाईंको कम्प्युटरको Speed बढाउने १० Tips हरु

१ सर्बप्रथम कम्प्युटर खोल्ने बित्तिकै कुनै पनि Application चाँड चांडै नखोल्नुस् , पहिला राम्रो सँग PC लाई Bootup हुन दिनुस् ।
२ कुनैपनि Application बन्द गरी सके पछि आफ्नो Desktop लाई एक पल्ट Refresh गर्नुस् यसले तपाईंको कम्प्युटरको Ram मा जम्मा भएको Unused फाइलहरु Remove हुन्छ ।
३ आफ्नो कम्प्युटरमा सके सम्म Wallpaper को Use नै नगर्नुस् र यदि गर्नुनै छ भने ठुलो साइजको Image लाई Use नगर्नुस् ।
४ आफ्नो Desktop मा धेरै Unnessesary Shortcut हरुलाई नराख्नुस् र सके सम्म Desktop लाई Clean नै राख् नुस् । Desktop मा फोटो तथा Music को फाइलहरुलाई पनि Save नगर्नुस् ।
५ RecycleBin लाई बेला बेलामा Empty गरी राख् नुस् । तपाईंले Delete गर्नु भएको फाइलहरु RecycleBin मा जम्मा भई राखेको हुन्छ र तपाईंको कम्प्युटरको Harddrive को ठाउँ यसले लीइ राखेको हुन्छ ।
६ temporary internet files लाई बेला बेलामा Delete गरी राखनुस् ।
७ आफ्नो कम्प्युटर लाई प्रत्येक २ महिनामा Defragment गर्नुस् । यसले तपाईंको कम्प्युटरको Harddrive मा धेरै खाली ठाउँ बनाउछ र Program हरु Fast चल्छन ।
८ आफ्नो कम्प्युटर लाई जहिले पनि २ वा २ भन्दा बढीमा partitions गर्नुस् र सके सम्म Software हरुलाई दोस्रो वा तेस्रो Drive मा Instal गर्नुस् । सके सम्म C Drive लाई खाली नै राख् नुस् ।
९ जब तपाईंले नयाँ Software हरु Instal गर्नु हुन्छ त्यो Software को Tray Icon लाई Disable गर्नुस् , यि Icon हरुले तपाईंको कम्प्युटरको RAM को Use गरी राखेका हुन्छन र कम्प्युटर Slow हुन सक्छ र Software का starting the application automatically Option लाई पनि Disable गर्न नभुल्नु होला । यस्ता Option हरुलाई तपाइले software हरु Instal गरी सके पछि उक्त Software को Tools मा गएर पनि Disable गर्न सक्नु हुन्छ ।
१० आफ्नो कम्प्युटर लाई धुलो बाट पनि सके सम्म बचाउनुस् , किन भने धुलोले तपाईंको कम्प्युटरका Cooling Fan हरुलाई जाम गरी दिन सक्छ यसले कम्प्युटर अनावश्यक रुपमा तातो हुन सक्छ र कम्प्युटर Slow Down हुन सक्छ ।

LOCK FOLDER WITHOUT ANY SOFTWARE

Lock a folder without any software

Suppose you want to lock the folder games in d: drive which has the path D:\Games. In the same drive create a text file and type ren games games.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} Now save this text file as loc.bat create another text file and type in it ren games.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} games Now save this text file as key.bat Now you can see 2 batch files loc and key. Double click loc file and the folder games will change to control panel and you cannot view its contents. Double click key file and you will get back your original folder.
